When does AI personalization pay? A CFO‑ready guide to ROI and risk.

Personalization can be a profit engine—or a cost center dressed up as innovation. The difference is economics, not aesthetics. Leaders should ask three questions before funding the next “1:1 at scale” initiative:

  1. Which customer moments actually change outcomes if we act in time?
  2. What does it cost to act at those moments?
  3. And how will we prove incremental value beyond vanity metrics?

Start with moments, not segments.
